MIKE GIBSON & DANNY MCNAIR

The writing, directing, and producing team of McNair/Gibson is currently involved in building boundary-pushing VFX worlds for Netflix’s new series, Alias Grace and SYFY’s Killjoys Season 3.

Mike and Danny recently partnered with REALTRA VR to drive the limits of the new medium of VR, where they will create, produce, write and direct cinematic Volumetric Virtual Reality narrative-driven pieces for REALTRA clients.

Mike has been awarded two back- to- back Emmys for his work producing SyFy’s Battlestar Galactica and has been nominated 10 times by the academy. In addition, he has been recognized by the Visual Effects Society with five awards. Most recently, his work on the MOW Blood & Chrome for NBC saw the entire show shot on greenscreen which resulted in creating a new paradigm in Digital Virtual Production. Mike was also at the forefront of establishing the In-House VFX team for NBC/Universal on Battlestar Galactica, Caprica, Blood & Chrome and Defiance.

As a screenwriter, Danny has been a finalist in the Final Draft screenwriting competition, the Chesterfield Film Fellowship and the Script magazine screenwriting awards. He has also been a semi-finalist in the Praxis Screenwriting competition and the Chesterfield Film Fellowship. He has written and produced content for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver and the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. W\in addition, Danny was the writer/producer for the Rogers Sportsnet biography on hockey legend, Gordie Howe, producer for athlete features for Sportsnet 360, and the series producer for The Ultimate Fighter Nations Canada vs Australia for Fox Sports 1.
