Jodi Lynn Anderson is the bestselling author of several books for young people, including Tiger Lily, a Time Magazine’s 100 Best Young Adult Books of all time, and My Diary from the Edge of the World, a Publishers Weekly and American Booksellers Association’s Best Book of 2015. Her latest young adult novel, Midnight at the Electric—called “mesmerizing” by The New York Times—is a Junior Library Guild selection, an Indie Next pick, a Bookpage Top Pick, and has garnered six starred reviews. Her work has been translated into several languages and has appeared on many state awards lists.

She began her career as an editor for HarperCollins Publishers and soon moved on to work in development for Alloy, Inc., where she originated and outlined the concept for The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, which was based on a pair of pants she shared with a group of friends in college.

Jodi holds an MFA in Writing and Literature from Bennington College. She lives in Asheville, NC, with her husband and young son, where she writes, hikes, and grows a mini-farm in her backyard.
